Author Guidelines

These guidelines describe BMCS requirements for manuscript preparation, submission, and publication. Authors are responsible for ensuring that submissions meet scientific and ethical standards.

1. Scope and Types of Articles

BMCS publishes research in mathematics and computational sciences, including theoretical, methodological, and computational contributions aligned with the journal’s aims and scope.

2. Submission Method

Existing Users

Authors who already have an account in the BMCS online submission system should log in using their registered email address and password. If you have forgotten your password, please use the password recovery option provided on the login page.

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Submissions sent directly via email will not be considered for peer review.

New Users

Authors who do not yet have an account in the BMCS submission system are required to register before submitting their manuscripts.

For initial registration and submission, please visit Registration Page

Once your submission has been successfully completed, a confirmation email indicating that your manuscript has been forwarded to the editor will be sent to you. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam or junk folder.

After registration is completed, manuscripts should be uploaded through the journal’s online system following the submission steps.

All submissions are subject to an initial editorial screening. At this stage, the editorial team evaluates whether the manuscript falls within the journal's scope and meets the basic scientific and formatting standards. Manuscripts that do not satisfy these criteria may be declined without being sent for external peer review. This preliminary assessment helps maintain the journal's scientific quality and prevents unnecessary delays in the review process.

Registration Form

During registration, authors are required to provide accurate and complete information, including institutional affiliation, research interests, and contact details.

All mandatory fields must be completed. The information provided during registration will be used in the editorial process and in the final publication if the manuscript is accepted.

3. Single Blind Review model or Double-Blind Review(Anonymized Manuscript) (Author May Choose)

BMCS uses single-blind peer review.
Authors may choose the reviewing model for their manuscript.  Authors should indicate which model they prefer in their email during the initial manuscript submission.

If Authos Choose double blind review model:
Therefore, the manuscript file submitted for review must be anonymized:

  • Remove author names and affiliations from the manuscript.
  • Remove acknowledgements and funding statements from the review version.
  • Avoid self-identifying phrasing (e.g., “in our previous work at X University”).
  • Ensure file metadata does not reveal author identity.

All authors must be added in the submission system during registration and submission with Orcid. The system stores author metadata, while the anonymized manuscript is used in peer review.

4. Manuscript Components

  • Title
  • Abstract and keywords
  • Main text with clear structure (theorems/lemmas/definitions as appropriate)
  • References (complete and consistent)
  • Appendices and supplementary material (if any)

5. Formatting and LaTeX

Use of BMCS LaTeX style files is recommended but not mandatory at initial submission. Upon acceptance, authors may be required to submit the final version in the journal format using the provided files. Ensure the class/style files are placed in the same directory as the .tex source to compile correctly.

Journal tex, style and bib files

6. Ethical Requirements

Submissions must be original, not under review elsewhere, and compliant with BMCS Publication Ethics. Plagiarism, redundant publication, and unethical practices are not tolerated.

7. Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest that could influence the work or its interpretation.

8. ORCID

Authors are encouraged to provide ORCID iDs during submission to ensure accurate attribution and improve discoverability.
